Colditz
A dramatic love story centred around the legendary Colditz Castle POW prison in Saxony. Shot in London and the Czech Republic using an studio sets, an adapted monastery and numerous other castles. Contrasting the colours and textures of WW2 Britain and Germany was key to creating the sets for the numerous and audacious escapes inspired great inventiveness and attention to detail. Key to the design of COLDITZ was setting the tenderness of the tragic love story against the ravages of war.
